Apparently the loft contains a time portal to the mid 90’s.

Why is Navy guy in THIS store?
he has to be part of this comic, Union rules.
I sort of think of him as “cigarette smoking man” from X-files. Who *knows* what that guy knows?
The Navy is everywhere.
Reminds me of a real quirky bookstore, the Dark Carnival in Berkeley, California.
The b&w gives the art a real film noir look…

Only…Please, when you do the character sheet for Brush-cut, show her in color.
Now we go to the loft. At first I thought that there might be a second floor, but, the sign sees Loft, so there probably just a Loft and not a second floor in between the first floor and loft.
One wonders what she was doing up in the loft area.
The B&W artwork is looking good so far!
…Germaine? We have Cat-People and Genie Lords in cat form so why not pervy, sociopathic talking squirrels too.

To be fair, Melvin and BJ are still one or two steps below where she is standing, so things are kind of in-their-faces, so to speak. And, BJ is just being BJ.
I hope that BJ is wearing mirrored shades, it might help with keeping his head attached to his neck, at least part of the time.
