So they did arrest him.
I kind of figured that they would arrest him and he will probably spend the night in jail before his parents bail him out.
BJ is kind of over playing his hand a little bit. If he not careful, Red might deck him.
I’d say that’s almost a certainty at this point.
He’s not in jail yet…there’s still room for a last minute plot twist…a call from the mayor? Liam’s mother casting an amnesia spell on the cops? Can’t relax till he’s behind bars. (speaking of which…do they still use bars in jails? Is that no longer a thing?)
BJ, quit drooling over the thought of your female self. (he’s about to get a black eye)

I don’t think there is any reason to believe Liam’s mother has any magic powers except possibly a lawyer on retainer and speed-dial. The police are unlikely to hold a minor overnight if his family vouches for his appearance in court.
I’m not sure if BJ is thinking of his female version being hot, or if he’s trying to get Red to say it was “hot” for him to jump into the fray with Liam. Could be either.
Either or I think Red’s going to deck him.
BJ was trying to get Red to say that he was so hot for tacking Liam, but, she only growled at him. If BJ keep pushing how cool he is, him being decked might come next.
I think BJ is trying to get Red to say he was a hot girl. I don’t think Red, Melvin or BJ see Red yet as a girl. That would be like asking Melvin if BJ was hot for tackling Liam.
BJ says, “I won’t punch you”. That’s referring back to the beginning of the comic where BJ is comparing her to Red Sonja and she punches him.
His drooling expression kinda makes him look like a dog. Perhaps risidual effects of the genie sneezes. I wonder if there’ll be lingering effects.
A page out of Gacha Gacha maybe? Every time B.J sneezes he changes sex?

BJ is not going to hit Red, but it is looking like Red is ready to deck him. BJ is forgetting that while he was a girl for a few seconds, Red is stuck as one for the foreseeable future.
I kinda feel sorry for Liam here–if he shows up in jail wearing that costume, things will get very tough for him. I kinda hope he’s off to a psych ward instead.
Yes, BJ, you are trying too hard. The drool is not a good sign.
I want to know how Red is feeling about that. If she’s being a girl, then BJ’s coming across like a pushy but unworthy suitor, and her response will be tinged with disgust. If she’s being a guy, then BJ’s just being pathetic, and he’s in for a good ribbing.
I don’t think BJ is referring to that brief moment when he was a girl. Neither had long enough to evaluate that.
And I still don’t get why we needed to see him trip over Red’s orthopedic boot. That was definitely highlighted, but I see no effect.
I’m thinking BJ might have originally planned to just grab Liam, but when he tripped he ended up tackling him instead. In the future BJ will probably maintain that he intended on tackling Liam the entire time.

He should worry about *being* punched…belt him a good one, Red.
Why should she? He’s not telling Red that she’s hot. He wants to know either if he was hot for the second or two that he was a girl, or for his part in subduing Liam.
The more I look at this strip, the more I think Red’s problem is that BJ is not “focusing” on the problem of finding Jeanie, or at the very least, BJ’s inability to stop jabbering. Hard to tell.
Hey, here’s a thought: Red’s mad because BJ’s acting like the nerd Clarence himself was before the change.
Which is kinda too bad. BJ’s been in a real fight, a more or less successful one against a hated opponent. Of course the testosterone and adrenaline are running kinda hot at the moment. (Although the adrenaline would probably be wearing off, I think.) Still, BJ’s in something of an altered state.
And maybe that’s part of Red’s discomfort. At some level, she recognizes BJ’s reaction, and misses experiencing it herself.
I kind of go with winning the fight thing. Because most guys get off on the thrill of victory and BJ is definitely a guy that would go on an emotional high because of winning that fight. From BJ point of view, he would like some congratulation and some adoration of his glorious victory and he not getting it.
BJ will probably repeat what happened to Melvin with Red standing there. That will be interesting.
We already know what Red things of it. So I won’t go over that part of it.
Naw, he should get belted just for being a jerk.
I think people are missing the fact, BJ has a over inflated sense of what a stud he is.
He thinks hes the King pimp when he is just a tosser. Red looks annoyed at his behavior.
As a brother nerd, Red would either be mildly amused or mildly annoyed, or just not care.
A hot girl, though, would show this kind of annoyed contempt at the presumed familiarity of a wannabe playa.
Red could also be really annoyed that this is what BJ is concerned about, when for under a minute, she thought she was back to normal.
It seems pretty clear to me that BJ is talking being hot as a girl. The reason I think this is his comment “It’s not like I’M going to punch YOU”. This refers to the fact that any time BJ tells Red she is hot as a girl, he punches her.
Of course, Red will get to the point where she punches out BJ for telling her she’s not hot.
Heh, Red getting mad because she thinks BJ thinks he was a hotter girl than she is–for about a second.
I agree, that line does seem to reference that.
