219: The Power of The Key
Remember back in early May (oh gosh was it that long ago…?), when Page 219* came out? Well here’s the full Page 219, the complete version of what Hollum wanted to post all the way back then. The sheer amount of content in this page, plus the “de-bunnyfying” that he was intending to do once April (The Month of Bunnies) ended, plus the entire comic getting corrupted and needing to be remade from scratch due to that S.N.A.F.U. Hollum already mentioned, led to this extreme delay.
We here at The Melvin Chronicles sincerely apologize for this, and pledge to get back onto the normal weekly schedule from here on.
I’m sure that this will not cause Melvin any problems at all.
I’m sure that outfit is better than bunny. I wonder how long it’ll stick
What melvin doesn’t realise is that the hat is now bonded to him.
So when he changes back to his male self the clothes will remain.
IF! If s/he changes back.
;p 🙂
Well, this certainly will make Red and Melvin quite a fetching pair.
Red: “Welcome to my world, Mel”.
I sure hope
I’m sure Saachi will love the new outfit. 😉
Wonder if this will adversely affect him changing back to being male
Aslo, “Mr. Clark”… I think he let something slip
I noticed this, too! Though if you look carefully, you’ll see that Holly stepped away right before he said it, so she probably didn’t hear.
Do those clothes have magical properties? Possibly the gems in the choker and waist belt?
Could be they have people or magical entities trapped inside them. Or they could sway others to the wearer’s will.
Maybe they give the wearer magical sexual powers. ;p
Who knows? 🙂
I could sure use a hat like that. Beats the heck out of toting a purse the size of a suitcase.
Yes, it does seem like a handy item for a witch on the go. It feels like the sort of thing that would belong in a Harry Potter type witch society.
“Em eromalg” is “glamore me”. Cute. Also, the glasses are different; what is the chance they have the same prescription as Melvin’s square framed glasses?
“Glamore” is an incorrect spelling, however, with the correct spelling we don’t have the “ero” in the phrase.
The correct spelling is “glamour”, with “glamor” as an alternative spelling of the same word.
Glamor (no ‘u’) is more common in American English than British English, though it is not as popular as glamour in either case.
Mel’s eyeglasses probably have the same prescription
I’m wondering when Holly is going to add 1 + 1 and come up with “Mel’s a Witch.”
It does seem like a pretty obvious conclusion, doesn’t it?
I guess genies aren’t the only ones that lack perception.
Well, she IS a hormone-fueled teenager. Maybe she’ll grow out of it.
As of https://melvin.jeaniebottle.com/?comic=175-everything-is-ok-we-have-hugs-now the story that Mel has sold to Holly is that the “evil” witches were trying to forcibly make her one of them but had possibly only partially completed the process, and that sealing (or perhaps stealing) the Azoth/Quaat Euzma was a way to stop it.
