162: Quite the Humble Beginnings
Shame the movie… or the entire art of cinema for that matter, wasn’t available 800 years ago. It could have warned poor Dick of the price of Phenomenal Cosmic Powers!
Also, as a special treat, today we have new piece of art, made by Bachmann himself, featuring our favorite redhead!
is Refuge spelled with 2 E’s or 3? I asked cause in Panel 3, it said Refugee instead of Refuge.
Nice piece of art, been wondering what happened to Bachmann for awhile.
Now, after that bit of back story on the owner of the shop it seems he was just in it for power. He didn’t just get it by protecting himself and killing a evil genie.
Thank you for wondering. I appreciate it. In short, bad health problems, bad relationship ending with child to consider, just a lot happening at once. I missed you guys!
hey man, you’ve been through a lot. why don’t you take some time off, to get your health back.
Bachmann has been working on the sexy webcomic Star Fodder. https://starfodder.thecomicseries.com/
So he basically IS Jafar from Disney’s Aladdin.
I wonder if this is the “idiot up north” that Guano was referring to.
Hmmm. Did he say that while in Florida? If so, “up north” would make sense, since New Jersey is north of there. It’s not too far directly north of most other places, though.
He said it to Asha at her Beverly Hills residence (JB page 487, panel 3). “Up north” does cover a lot of ground… could he have been referring to Kris Kringle? Surely a genie can deliver all those gifts in one night.
I always thought “that idiot up north” referred to Santa Claus. He’s pretty much north of everywhere. And him being a genie would explain an awful lot about flying reindeer, et cetera.
As someone who lives in the temperate zone of the southern hemisphere, the “idiot up north” has a huge list of potential candidates
New Jersey IS technically north of LA
Ah!
Hipster Jafar – gotcha
