Alright, we are now getting into the fight and what been going on. We have a fight between Genie’s and a fight between witches too.
Dude looks bad ass.
I know, right? Makes you have a bit more respect for ol Guano, since he was the guy who took him out! Now, how can he be considered a traitor by Kazom? This relationship doesn’t have the same feel over in the Jeannie bottle universe!
And I can kinda see why Kazom would rather be a cat rather than deal with grudges held against that type of power!

Yes, it is by choice, at least that is what the cast profile says. Well, I just looked and it says, “he takes the form of a cat.” That certainly implies it’s his choice. I seem to remember it used to say that was his preference. Anyway, I have seen no indication that it’s forced on him.
It’s not by choice, he has to stay in that form or he’ll die. Though i guess he can choose to die if that’s what you are implying.
He has also stated to not be terribly happy with that form.
Didn’t they say the plural of “genie” would be “geniuses?” And how often are geniuses bound by the rules?
What you have here are two powerful Genies and probably the most powerful Genies in the Genie world. They are probably of almost equal strength and abilities to each other. We have the Haji Genie group bound by the rules that Haji has made up for his Genie to follow. Then we have the Blue Djinn and his group that following the Blue Djinn. So we are fix in to have a Genie battle between the two Genie factions or had a war between those two faction and Kazom is just filling Melvin in on what going on or has gone on in the past.
OK, so it is the Djinn that twist wishes and have given the genies in general a bad name.
Not quite, wishes by design tend to have unforseen consequences, even if the genie isn’t the jerk.
Also, if the human isn’t clear with their wish, it’s on them.
No, going by the real myths, the evil Djinn wouldn’t bother with wishes.
This looks like it could tie into the genie realm civil war from The Wotch and Accidental Centaurs. Those two web comics didn’t get into too much detail about it. Perhaps this one will flesh it out some more.
Pretty sure this is a completely continuity. Plus the idea of bad Djinn are as old as the concept of Genies, it was not started by the Wotch.
More importantly, this war is already over, remember? The Blue Djinn has already been defeated.
Well done. However, like most major conflicts that have ended, tensions remain, movements spawn, factions grow, and begin to plan. History repeats on a new stage, with new players. Who will be chosen…GET YOUR POPCORN READY AND GRAB A GOOD SEAT, MELVINAUTS! *^-^*
So the djinn from the old Arabic myths did exist in this universe?
With an infinite number of universes, who’s to say they don’t crossover from time to time.
