That was only acting at being a boy until the act was over.
Norm: hmm… an Arcane, Creepy, Old, Metallic, Green Lamp… Processing… oh yeah, yeah, it’s coming back to me now. I think we have something like that.
Desiree: *looks at Red* hmm, you look quite lovely. I’d be more than happy to be your genie, and grant your every wish and desire.
Is that a Poof! in panel 5?
Yes, that a Poof in the background, but, we aren’t sure if that a Genie Poof or if is just BJ and Melvin going Poof. Because, in panel 3 and 4 they were standing there, before they disappeared. I am assuming that they were the one’s that went Poof as in fainted and now there lying on the floor as what Tiffany is currently doing as it being too much for them to handle.
I think it a magic (possibly Melvin) poof as there is also some blue smoke around it.
No way. Is Norm really going to sell the source of all magic to a seemingly random redhead bimbo, just because she asked nicely?
Red may be a good actress, but this is too obvious as an opening move.
Norm may have his own agenda and is just looking for an excuse. He obviously consorts with at least one genie and appears to be on relatively good terms with her. If she’s been honest with him he’d know that the Blue Djinn is a threat to all humanity and especially genie masters.
The question is whether Norm knows that it is the source of all magic rather than just some old relic. If he knows its true value, then Red is going to have to shut down all rational thought in him before he will consider handling it over.
She got about halfway to that goal just walking in the door… But if the frame wasn’t positioned solely for our benefit, he may have noticed that *poof!* also. In which case, she’ll really have to work at it.
Or, if Desiree can hear her (wherever off-panel Desiree is), she can wish for Norm to give it to her. ^_^
