Tiffany "Red" ThorntonRed was a boy until a new genie tried to get Melvin a girlfriend. That's when the genie turned Red into a girl so Melvin could practice talking to girls, and forgot to turn her back before disappearing. Red is hopeful that her situation is only temporary. Comics: 226 |

I’m having trouble following what’s happening. Could we have a bit more exposition?
In the last post Kazom says get ready to head out. Based on Melvin’s comment here, it sounds like they’ve been talking about his magic book experience. Here, Red and BJ are re-telling the events at the tournament to catch Melvin up on what he missed.
Also, Kazom is in disguise. He very well may have taken the clothing off the stuffed were-monkey.
I also notice BJ has a key to the back door of ‘snack to the future’.
BJ’s family may own the shop. And that is a good exposition on what they likely are saying. At least Red seems to have left the blues behind for now.
@Frith Ra: Red and BJ are telling them about the tournament. In the 3rd panel Red is clearly describing Liam’s rampage, her hand raised to mimic his trophy assault. In the last panel, I’d guess BJ is telling them how Liam was dragged away, kicking and screaming. Kaz finds it so funny he’s in tears.
In the second panel BJ’s hands are mimicking a dog begging so it would seem he is also describing his time as a dog.
In the last panel Red is mimicking restraining BJ like he was Liam for Melvin’s viewing too. Beside telling Melvin what happen with Liam, they also seam to be pantomiming it too as there telling Melvin what happened.
Oh, yes the latest installment, the rest of the story so Melvin has all the details. And let don’t forget Susan. That will probably be in the next installment of Melvin Chronicles.

Is there a reason why “Snack to the Future” would have a wall lined with oxygen cylinders? I note they’re capped and not secured, suggesting that they aren’t filled with O2. (And if they are, SttF has no fire or injury insurance.) I’m guessing this is a Back ttF movie reference, but can’t place it.

Also: 150 days? That’s, uh, about five months? When did the Tournament arc start?
Comic started on March first. That was, uh….174 days ago.
Speaking of which, that first comic also featured BJ showing Melvin a foldout of Red (in character as The Scarlet Avenger).
Neatly mirrored here by Red showing Melvin a photo of what appears to be the Scarlet Avenger putting the hurt on Liam.
And the more I look at them, the more I think Red hold on BJ is more than a little affectionate. She’s not just re-enacting.
Is that Red’s arm around BJs neck? It look like her arm is visible just to left of BJs head. It looks more like BJ is putting a pretend choke hold on himself. I could be wrong though.
Regardless, she is certainly giving him quite a friendly look. BJ and Red have some good chemistry.
Would think those O2 cylinders are just props that are used to give the cafe a spaceship feel.
BACH-MANN, all analysis aside, I really like this strip. It’s a lovely portrait of four friends sharing their adventures. Well done.

It is coming along nicely. There have been hiccups here and there, but I am enjoying it.
Hoping that Susan was not getting ready to go into work because if so she will be running really late. And even when Kazom releases her it will be totally obvious that something strange has happened to her with the big time jump.
