145: Shady Business
Apologies for the lateness of this week’s comic, folks.
And unfortunately, the bad news doesn’t end there. Due to complications of Hollum’s real life, he’s gotten far behind on various factors of his art, and needs to take a short break from the comic. The next two weekends that would normally have had a comic, will not. Come back on the weekend of July 16th for the next page of The Melvin Chronicles.
Panel 4: it’s not the kind of treasure i expect my USUAL clientele to know about! Panel 5: I hope you don’t mind the new decoration, “who are you?” and more importantly, why do YOU, young lady, stink of that old pest, the BLUE DJINN?
I was in a hurry while editing this one. It’s all fixed up, now.
Panel 5 is still a bit off. it should say “who are you?”
For future reference, if you mention what the incorrect phrase it first, then say the correct one, it’s a lot easier to tell what’s wrong and where the fix needs to be made.
Is Richard really the bad guy, or is he protecting the Quat Euzma from falling in wrong (worse) hands?
maybe he likes booze. Ask if he’s a Djinn Rummy!
Interesting… Red shouldn’t smell like the Blue Djinn, should she? She’s never encountered the Blue Djinn as far as I recall. Perhaps what Richard had smelled was actually Jeanie.
The shadows, he smells the shadows.
Ooooh, right!
Unfortunately, Red doesn’t know about those yet, or at least I don’t think so…
Also (and sorry for not noticing earlier), there’s an apostrophe missing from the “Let’s” in the last panel. As in “Let us talk about business.” I blame the ominous font.
Oddly enough, there IS an apostrophe there. It’s just that this font legitimately doesn’t have a glyph for that character. I tried adding a bunch of apostrophes just to make sure my eyes weren’t going wonky, and all it did was add a bunch of space between the T and the S.
