Holly is Melvin's crush. After the genie incident, Holly is aware that Melvin likes her, but there is a little too much strangeness surrounding Melvin and his friends for Holly's liking.
Kazom is a 3,000 year old genie. In order to conserve power and thereby extend his life, Kazom does as little magic as possible. He is bound in the form of the Clark family's cat and mostly just lays around Melvin's Room.
It will make it easier to pass is off as a dream or something. Well, at least Holly understood that is was Melvin doing. But, we will have to wait for further installment of the Melvin Conical to find out what happens next.
Hope one of the unintended effects is for blondie to be a girl, and that being what’s being referred to while Melvin’s blurry vision makes him think ‘he’ means something else by it being not entirely unpleasant.
As far as we know, Holly has been a girl all along, which is exactly why Melvin was worried that she might be upset at having suddenly appeared in his room sans trousers–she could have too easily assumed that “the evil wizard has kidnapped the fair maiden so that he may ravish her”.
There several things that we don’t currently know here.
” It’s working!”
There are two possibilities here:
1. It all Melvin’s doing and Kazom is just an interested party here. Which probably isn’t what going on.
2. That Kazom is actually directing Melvin and how he uses his powers on Holly. Because, we know that a Genie can’t use there powers on other people to force them to do something against there will. Because, when Jeanie was here under Kazom tutorship, she got disembodies when she tried doing that. So is Kazom directing Melvin to do some of this stuff, which would add another twist to this story too and add other possibilities too that a Genie can’t do on there own. A wizard might not have the same restriction that a Genie has.
It could truly be Melvin work, but with Kazom directing it? Don’t know!
“Do gamers fall into character this easily?”
I don’t think that most gamers will do that. But, there are some people that get so wrapped up in there character and being some came character that they lose touche with all reality. There fantasy in there game world is more real to them than the real world is and they lost touche with the real world fairly easily or they never really come back to the real world at all. They basically walk around in a fog all the time. It like someone that drinks too much or is on drugs will lose touche with reality too.
So it would be Holly that in the dreamworld right now. It Melvin that being very careful here not to spoil the illusion, because, he doesn’t want to have to explain to her what going on, so he basically is punting, because, he afraid of Holly and what she will say to him.
I hadn’t considered how much these guys need their glasses—from the blur, Holly more than Melvin.
Well, you think they had large glasses just to complete the nerd look?
Bah ha….!
With nerds, you never know. I had glasses from about age thirteen…I wore them from age sixteen in order to see while driving.
Tell them there’s some hope. Presbyopia will strike.

BACH-MANN: Shouldn’t Melvin’s line be, “you appeared MOST suddenly”? Nothing “almost” about it.
===
Oh, Melvin, you silver, uh, blue tongued devil! “Well done!” indeed; you have asserted the authority to judge her works.
“Not entirely unpleasant.”
…And she accepts the serve. Outstanding.
I, uh, “almost” posted about the word he wanted being “most.” But I don’t want to be too much of a grammar nerd here . . . 😉
So apparently Holly is not totally unaware of Melvin and his feelings. Damn, girls can be smart!
I’ve always been told to “know your audience” Melvin is certainly showing some knowledge of his.
BTW: nice way of showing Kazom watching from UNDER the door.

“It’s working!”
Hm, is Kazom’s spell working to frame events so as to keep the kids from freaking?
Or is this truly Melvin’s work?

I get the feeling Bach-Mann is putting together an adventuring party.
Melvin – Wizard
Holly – Cleric
BJ – Fighter
Kazom – Thief
So now the question is what sort of adventures are they going to have.
What about Red?
Actually, Kazom is a Genie when he chooses to use his powers.
Yeah, Red would be the better bet for thief. She’d be able to distract just about any male.
Frankly, though, I think BJ and Red would make a good fighting team.
