# 52 Brief Break
Hey kids, we were hoping to have a strip tonight, however other matters have delayed us. We are taking a brief break to take care of things. We hope you enjoy this pic of the gang, and we’ll see you on Thursday 09/10/15!
Sincerely,
BACH-MANN & Shhadow
When will there be a plot?
Labor Day holiday time?
Should start selling Red’s Anit-Princess T-shirt.
That’s all right 🙂
Man though, I’ve been having lots of problems following the plot of this comic if anyone has advice. I think it’s because the strip starts with the changes made already and I have to backtrack to figure it out, like when we see him in the suit of armour I think “OK so they’re back in the house and they must have fixed Susan since they seem so relaxed and that ‘stay away from the book for now’ warning must be over cause he’s practicing magic again and OK so I guess he’s practicing a random protection spell that caused the armour, it’s not another cosplay like they just had. Funny.” To me it’s like if every South Park episode started with the evil twins already there or Cartman was ginger or the plots were already started by minute one and you had to solve the mystery.
Oh, and chat bubbles! RIP chat bubbles.
It’s diffidently not you its this comic.
Ya gotta remember, the comic has already gone though one writer. Believe me, moving from one writer to another often causes a bit of conflict in the storyline.
Also this is the first comic made by Bach-mann. It’ll take some time to find a groove.
Critism is good, but be very careful how you word it. It is very easy to de-moralize someone who is just trying to make something you’ll like. This is one of the reason you see so many comic just stop, and the artists go into a depression. Making webcomics is a lot of work. If one feels it’s not appreciated, why would one keep doing it?
I agree with the others, I had very little to no difficultly following the story myself, so I don’t understand what the problem is that some are having with it.
Honestly, several people keep complaining about this strip being hard to follow and I don’t find that to be the case at all. Yes, you have to pay attention to detail, but the information is there. Occasionally I have to read the strip over again and see some of the details in the drawings to really “get it,” but it only posts twice a week so there is time to absorb and understand. It’s definitely note “Hagar the Horrible.”
Some people get uncomfortable if everything is not spelled out perfectly, and they have to actually think about what they are reading and seeing. I have no problem at all with this strip. Cd’s Sunsailer bounced all over in the beginning but I could keep up. Eventually his art and writing got to the high level that it is now! Bach-Mann started this strip with quality, labor intensive art. I love finding the references to movies and nods to other artists here. Keep it up!!!
It took me a couple of strips and a couple of passes to “get” how the dialog was handled—but there wasn’t anything wrong with it that way. I’m no big fan of the gaming activities the characters indulge in, but it’s an interesting ride nonetheless.
Awwwww….group hug! *^-^*
