BJ, or Boyd Johnson, thinks himself the ladies man. He couldn't be more wrong, but that doesn't stop him from trying to woo the fairer sex when he can.
Red was a boy until a new genie tried to get Melvin a girlfriend. That's when the genie turned Red into a girl so Melvin could practice talking to girls, and forgot to turn her back before disappearing. Red is hopeful that her situation is only temporary.
I’m not a big fan of geometric eye makeup, but the pose with the sword is lovely.
Why am I getting the feeling that those photos are foreshadowing? Like maybe Red will end up, not just playing, but BEING that character in whatever magical realm Mel transports them too?
That would be awesome, especially if Red can actually kick ass like the character would (some magic augmentation to muscle coordination, etc. might help).
Close enough, make up of a kind. I suppose as battle prep its acceptable, but I find it unfeminine. (Of course, that may be part of the reason Red’s willing to experiment with it.)
Well, Miss Johnson, shire nice and friendly. The proverbial mother kiss, can’t forget that. With Ida help, Red seem to be getting adjusted pretty well into her new life style. Red sure did give an ominous response to Ida question as to what those guys are up to, but then she know them too. Both Ida and Red are in for a surprise when they get there.
Those picture would make a good Christmas or New Year special
I just don’t think BJ’s mom would look like the magic seller type. she looks more like some who could run a bakery, or a flower shop, or be a stay at home mom.
Honestly it’s kind of an awkwardly abrupt “transition”. Ida and Red were in the last panel of the previous page, but we didn’t seen what Red was wearing jeans. It’s a jump back to a scene in a different page with no transition. It hurts this page’s ability to stand on its own.
I figured that was BJ’s mom – the eyes gave her away!
Wow, those are some cool photos of Red! Hey, Bach-mann, can we see some blow-ups of those? Maybe as a Christmas present?

I’m not sure that it’s makeup, as much as war paint.
Kattgirl: “warpaint”

Looking like Red is getting more comfortable in her body due to Ida’s help. And, I agree with Kattgirl about those proofs.
Red also has a nice butt too
Yes, Red’s got a perfectly lovely bottom. Eminently pattable. Who will be the lucky winner?
Well, you know the old saying about how incompatibility is a good thing: he should have income and she should be pattable.
Gotta love Ogden Nash.

I was just looking, that scary person that was coming up on them in the last post before this current post, was BJ mother coming up on them.
Oh, OK!
if THAT’S the steward of this place, then i’m the long-lost nephew of Merlin the Wizard.
Say Hi! to your uncle for us–I mean, why do you say that?

I was assuming that it was some kind of Obfuscating Stupidity act . . .
@willis: Yeah – great disguise, isn’t it? The last person you’d suspect…
Why dat ass in the last panel?
Dat Red, ain’t it?
Dat ass *breathing intensifies*

Something to be avoided.
