Interesting how the faerie possessing Red perks up her chest.
Rose currently embodies Melvin’s Camaradery, Loyalty and Lust (toward Red). That explains a lot about her actions.
Did Holly hear Red calling “Melvin” to the brunette? Because that should tip her something it’s up.
That along with Melvin’s love of wearing a wizards hat and she has to look like what Melvin’s twin sister would if he had one.
Yeah, Melvin running around wearing The Sorting Hat should have given it away a long time ago. What does it have to do, shout “Southheil” to penetrate Holly’s thick skull?
At this point I believe Holly is running on denial, as in “there is not way such a good boy like my Melvin is involved in witchcraft”.
Which makes her the perfect addition to Red “I still have my male card somewhere” and Melvin “totally not attracted to my gender-bent once best bro.”
A really strange variant of Three’s Company.
But considering that they’re all female, which one is Jack Tripper?
Or (more importantly), who is Larry? (Jacks sleazy friends and neighbor)
That’s easy… BJ. And they are not all female, Melvin is a boy in disguise.
(to Shadowrnnr) It’s more than just a disguise. Melvin is currently in a magically-created female body. As is Red. So they are effectively both girls, for the time being, at least.
That feeds into Holly’s denial as well, because the Melvin in her mind would not willingly be in a female form without freaking out about it (i.e. she thinks of him as being too manly to want to be a girl).
Its getting interesting. Red called Melvin “MASTER”. She has two different colored eyes. One blue eye and one violet. And her little vampire tooth is so cute.
Is that new?
No. Whenever the faerie that is possessing Red speaks, her left eye changes to that red/violet hue and her word bubbles have a different font. It has been doing this ever since Red picked up the ring.
I’ll be honest, I hadn’t noticed the vampire tooth before now.
I did mean the tooth.
Oh. Sorry.
Looking back at previous pages, it doesn’t seem like the “vampire tooth” has appeared previously. So I’d guess it’s not plot-relevant.
On page 61 Rose displayed what looked like tiny fangs similar to the one Tiffany has. It may just be the art style, though.
That wasn’t Red, that was the fairy who called Melvin “Master”. Red said the “Melvin” part.
