Seems that Kahin has seen his “best” course of action from here… For better or worse.
Kahin: I have tried to be reasonable with you 2, but it looks like you have forced my hand.
Hoping Melvina and Red did not just stand there and take whatever Kahin is going to cast at them. Both of them are better than that.
To be fair, Melvin is de-powered, and Red is mostly topless. So weak responses may be their sole options.

Are you implying that Red has magical abilities, but only when fully clothed?
I feel like I once read a manga with that gimmick.
More that vigorous movement is likely to make her *fully* topless. 🙂
I have a feeling that that concern wouldn’t stop Red from putting Kahin’s head through the nearest wall.
It wouldn’t stop me, and I think Red has fewer scruples.
Well, as pointed out in #169, Red could be a little less topless.
And, frankly, as long as she doesn’t want to seduce someone there (and I
don’t think she wants to do that to anyone here …) she *very* probably would
have done that. Not because how she’s wearing her makeshift bra ist too sexy,
but because it’s simply too uncomfortable.
We’ll, she’s been – preoccupied – I’m sure she’ll set it straight when she gets a moment to spare…
It would be funny if Kahin is turning Red back to male right now – in order to convince her his intentions are good
Whatever he’s doing with that glow stick, it’s going to leave a mark.
It is interesting that he refers to mel as “mr Clark” and red as “young lady”. he is a precog, after all!
That may be what they see themselves subconsciously as now. Red has spent awhile as a girl now, and no one is the same as they were even a year ago. And, with teenagers even a little time can make a big difference. Melvin has only been a girl for a few hours, and knows he can change back, Red can’t say the same.
Or, as he is precog he sees Mel changing back to a guy but does not see Red changing at all.

My guess is he sees their ‘essence’ – who they truly are – so he sees Melvin as a boy; but not Red, I guess.
I wonder if this is before or after he got all touchy feelie with the Blue Djinn.

I think it’s just after, but I believe this is taking place on the same day as Haji’s Day.

It may be too late to prevent it but it didn’t happened yet. Specifically, https://jeaniebottle.com/archives/comic/jeanie-bottle-558 didn’t happened yet and we will likely see Kazom getting Quat Euzma as part of this storyline.
