Second heir of the House of Azure, Lazarra is an intelligent and cold woman, looking to prove herself as the rightful master of the Azure by any means necessary. Alongside other covens, she leads the Southeil Academy in search of natural born witches among the mortals, under her guise as Headmistress Anning.
Red was a boy until a new genie tried to get Melvin a girlfriend. That's when the genie turned Red into a girl so Melvin could practice talking to girls, and forgot to turn her back before disappearing. Red is hopeful that her situation is only temporary.
Well, that interesting that the two top Modal of the School are being invited to be on the Student Council. Why do I get the feeling that there some hidden agenda or secrete motive of some kind. Then again it could be just ah factor of having two Modals on the Student Council, but, I don’t think so.
There is a good chance the “student council” is really a witches council. I suspect these two were selected because of untapped magical energy the council members detected on them. If not magical energy, it could be psychic energy or the “philotic” connections that empower popular people.
Well, we know that Red has Genie magic on her, because, she use to be a guy and we know Melvin used some of Witch magic on Red too, even if he didn’t mean to.
Or it could be for prestege too. Like having no one, but, two Super Modal on the Student Council. Like WOW, isn’t that Great.
Voted by the boys to be on the council so they had a reason to go to the meetings. Voted by the girls to keep these two to busy to steal their boyfriends.
Interesting development, I look forward to seeing where this will go. I have to ask though, what kind of principal wears that???
Also I’m hoping we get some differentiated body types for the female characters going forward. It’s hard to take the portrayal of Tiffany/Red having a large chest seriously when most of the other female characters look just as busty, if not more so, than her.
A sexy one? Also, she has a known witch’s familiar with her, so she’s probably a witch. I think that means she gets to dictate her wardrobe. 🙂
> most of the other female characters look just as busty
Don’t forget about the Three Stooges, who have a wide range of busts. And that cutie from a few pages ago. And JJ. And Holly. And Debbie’s minions. And half the girls on page 5. And probably others who I missed in my quick perusal of the Carlos pages.
Just because the most recently introduced/seen female characters tend toward the busty side, doesn’t mean they all do.
@Rich In my defense, Anning is not my own character nor my design, she did get some changes in favor of her principal persona, but I did keep her costume so we all could be in the same page in regard her identity.
As for body variety, I know this will be hard to believe due to my current portfolio but… I am not used to draw female characters this developed. Before taking the MC, most of my work was entirely oriented to kids, so I am still getting use to have some level of consistency in the attributes of each character. Still, I try to keep characters like Holly, Saachi, JJ, Patrica, Deborah’s lackeys and the little cutie (It will be so hard for me to share her real name now, thanks to Robert) to have a more modest figure, while Deborah has to be at least a size smaller than Red, who happens to be the most developed one in the teen part of the cast. This is awkward to share, but yeah, most of this designs are actually just me getting used to their proportions, and I am not looking forward to keep this in mind for the adult cast.
@Jack She didn’t, she is scolding their childish rivalry, their disregard for the norms, the nature of their jobs and the kind of friends they have outside school, not a mention to how they dress.
@Jack, basically Anning is what known as a wild card. We don’t know what she take serious and what she doesn’t taje serious or even what she thinking even. Everything about her is an unknown out side the fact that she probably a witch, because she has a cat familiar with her that she was petting. We know that this is her day job of being Principle of this private school and by the context of the way they have been refeering to her, she has probably been the Principle of that School for at least two or more years. What we don’t know is if her probably being a witch and what it has to do with this school if anything or if it an entirelly totally unlated to each other. I am betting that her being a witch and school connected to each is some way and is probably reated to what she does in both realm of her activities. That my best guess!
At this point anything and everything possible here, we don’t know yet. But, that is definently one possibltly as to why she is the Principle of the School, that would be a good way to get new recruits to the Witch realm, because, they are both born into a family of witches like Melvin was or they can be recrueted into becoming witchs. Unlike Genie who don’t need a regular job, because theu have there totem to live in. Witch are regular people who have magical powers and such, they have house and cars that they use. So most of the witchs will generally have jobs they go to. So there doing there witch activities in there spare time. How much cross over is there between Anning witch activies and her regular job, we don’t know. But, I personaly would bet there is quit of cross over.. That only a guess at this point.
@Ben – she’s commenting on Tiffany’s friends outside of school like she should have control over who Tiff associates with during non-school hours, and (I suspect) is stringing her familiar along under the auspices of sexual attraction to (don’t remember what its’ “combat form” gender is, so I’m just gonna say) it. I stand by my original opinion (which, for the record, I only hinted at instead of just writing it outright).

I like this theory! Though sadly, Southeil Academy is an all-girls school.
Still, swap out “boys” for “lesbians” and “boyfriends” for (also) “lesbians”, and it’d work! 🙂

Then why is she reprimanding them for dressing sexy?
“Do as I say, not as I do” is rampant in the education sector.

So does Anning take her Principal job seriously or is it an act?
@jack I like to think she takes everything seriously, buy for now, I rather leave that for you guys to decide.

@Larry Do you think the Coven uses the school as a cover to scout/recruit Witches or something?

So is this coven related business or…?
What business is it of the school’s that they have friends outside it?
It’s really not, but Anning strikes me as one of those “next Tuesday” types, if you get my drift.
I didn’t. I had to google the term. Now that I know I think Asshole would have been sufficient.

Oh snap.
The way that she emphasizes “Miss” Thornton suggests that she is aware that Tiffany was not always a “Miss”.
