You know, I actually looked this up, because “thee” didn’t sound right to my ears, either. But I guess I misinterpreted the google results. I’ll fix it.
Also, please do feel free to correct any other grammar mistakes you see. I’m not a perfect copy editor, despite my years of experience, heh.
Melvin doesn’t know how to take no for answer does he? He seeing warning sign every where and flashing red light everywhere and he still doesn’t think that he should stop what he doing. When your dealing with forces that could protentually destroy world, you need to be a little bit more cautious there Melvin.
This border on complete and total responsibility on Melvin part.
Goes for coders, too, especially when young, foolish and sleep-deprived.
Long ago and far away, I crafted a tiny auto-run utility routine which would access all possible drives on an Apple][, list their files. Adding a couple of lines let it then write itself to those it found, so you didn’t have to save that real-useful utility routine yourself…
Initial reactions were, “Hey, that’s neat !” then variations on, “WTF ? That should be impossible !!”
Our Coding Guru went white as a sheet. He realised my dozen lines of ‘crazy’ code were a self-perpetuating, if benign ‘worm’…
Fortunately, Apple ][ micros were not commonly networked.
More fortunately, subsequent Apple models were not vulnerable such…
Actually, I don’t think that Jeanie would be the problem here. We know what Jeanie did to Red and Jeanie know too what she did to Red. It what Melvin did to Red when he either knowingly or unknowingly worked his magic on Red that will be the main problem here. On at least two or possibly more times, Melvin used magic on Red to change her and at least one or those times it was unintentional and he probably doesn’t remember using magic on her too. Like when he unintentionally and wasn’t thinking about it, he made Red breast smaller. So even if Jeanie were to show up to fix the problem, which she probably won’t, there will be a conflict of other magic being used on Red by Melvin. In other words, Melvin using his magic to change Red back to a guy, is only complementing the matter and making thing even worse than the already are.
So basically, Melvin can’t actually “remove” the original “boy into girl” enchantment, and at best can simply add a “girl into boy” one on top of it . . .
Melvin could cast a find spell and transport Jeanie back to change Red back into a boy. But knowing Jeanie red would probably have a trigger word that would change him into a girl at the worst time. He would be switching back and forth.
Why doesn’t Kazom – who knows where Jeannie is – get her and tell her to change Red back (assuming Red wants to be changed, which I now doubt).
This will not go well otherwise…
Most of the time, Kazom doesn’t want to get involved in other matter like this and generally like to keep his nose out of things like this. But, in The Blue Djinn case, there is no staying out of this matter, so Kazom had to get involved whether he like it or not, because, in the Blue Djinn case, all the Genie are going to be dragged into this mess whether they like it or not.
A year ago, Red wanted to be turned back into a boy, but, who know what Red really want now or may be starting to want now or how much Red has changed in this one year process of being forced to think like a girl. I has to have a major impact on Red mind and how she thinks of herself now. Like she a model now for lady’s cloths, does commercial on TV, she the model for that famous game and she going to an all Girl School too. He was changed form a He to a She in beginning 9th grade she now at the beginning of 10th grade. There 11th grade and 12th grade, by the time that Mary Thornton is finished with Red, there won’t be much of Clarence left of Red and it will be increasing more and more Tiffany that is who Red is. Which is what Mary ultimate goal is whether Red like it or not. Talk about Parents making there children into there own image, this is going overboard, I would say.
Two instances of “it’s” (contraction of “it is”) where “its” (belonging to it) was intended, in the first panel.
Ahh shoot. The fancy script made those apostrophes hard to see. Will fix now.
Using Chaos Magic is never a good idea.
Even if it worked with Jeanie and the Blue Djinn, that was very likely a one off type deal.
Its called Chaos Magic for a very good reason after all….
Don’t quote me on this, but I think this is taking place before Kazom retrieved the Quat Euzma for Jeanie to use against the Blue Djinn.
Using Chaos Magic is bad idea only if you need to live in the universe you used it in afterwards :-).
That thing looks familiar. I guess Kazom takes it from Melvin and gives it to Jeannie later?
So… no. Red does NOT get changed back.
Not *that* tiny…
… look, i usually refrain, but…
you use “thee” wrong.
“Thou” is used as the subject/actor of a sentence. “Thee” is the recipient. “Thy” is possessive.
So: “Thou may wield..” or preferably, with verbs equally archaic: “Thou mayest wield…”
“Harness the light inside thee.” is correct, though.

Wizards: No sense of right or wrong.

Clearly, Nik, you should have watched and comprehended the “Sorcerer’s Apprentice” segment of “Fantasia” before coding that.
After all the changes in Jeanie I’m not sure that she would now be able to safely break the spell on Red.

So, he has to become a Green Lantern? Where does he get a Power Ring?

Um, give Red a ‘decoder ring’ so ‘Tiffany’ can switch to ‘Clarence’ at need ??
