186: Magic is One Hell of a Drug
Hey look, it’s male Melvin! It feels like we haven’t seen him in an age, doesn’t it?
Also, the triumphant return of “Prom Red”. 🙂
The delay in posting this week’s page is squarely on Putin’s shoulders, by the way.
“Magic, Not Even Once.”
Y’know, to secure Melvin’s help in getting the Quat Azoth, Kahin, as a genie, could’ve said; “help me out and I’ll turn your friend back into a boy” and Melvin might’ve gone along with that.
Of course, that would’ve meant there wouldn’t’ve been a story. :p
Putin is a stinker, for sure.
“Stinky Putin”
Putin?
Shouldn’t it be rather Putout?
Holly is worried her boy is putin with red.
So sad, the only one that seems to remember Clarence is actively trying to get rid of them. Like I stated before, Melvin is a bit clueless about how Red’s sudden appearance in his life looks to everyone else. And, Holly must have had some power that is pulling the lid off the magic Melvin used to cloud her memories, and this is before the voices started telling her what to do due to Eashiqa’s magic being used on her.
Waaait, when did taking over the world happened?
That’s what I want to know too.
Check back on the Getting Back into the Groove & I Dream of a Deal chapters. They give brief synopsises of what happened during the hiatus period (no guest artist to help illustrate the story).
All of that was wiped from your memory by the spell they cast.
Mel, he’s an oracle, remember? Visions of future/past and other psychic powers too, probably.
Also Melvin, it IS about time for you to come clean with Holly about what’s going on with you and all these magical happenstances. Avoiding the subject with her is only to keep confusing her about what’s the truth over her limited, assumed facts and possibly will bite ya in the rear later.
On the other hand, telling the niece of the local witchfinder general that you are a witch, from a very significant lineage nor less, might be a little…risky.
Mel’s best way to spin it may be to disabuse Holly of the notion that Witches get their power by pledging their souls to darkness, and that instead their power comes from being born to a “cursed” bloodline.
Yeah, what could go wrong with that?
It’ll get more sympathy than having her believe that you have pledged yourself to the Devil.
