So what’s their next move? Kill Melvin before he subconsciously casts spells again?
They need to test this theory.
Hey Melvin, return the boobs!
Yes, they need to test there theory out and see just how much power Melvin has and how to control it too. We don’t want Melvin sneezing and blowing all reality away as we know it, like what Jeanie was doing with her sneezing fits. Having Melvin being able to control his magic is definitely high on the priority list along with trying to keep other faction of Genie, Witches who may not have highest good for mankind at bay too. This is going to be a tall order even for a former Genie Lord who had 3000 years or experience even.
So, this implies that Melvin is potentially a Super Witch, which means that various factions are all the more eager to control him.
Hey Melvin, I’d go for “fearsome.” It’s a lot more FUN. [insert evil laugh here]
I like Ida, she seem to know the right question to ask to get the right answer they need to get. She going to make a nice senior member to this genuine kids brigade charge into reality and adulthood.
Agreed!
I swear, in frame 2, Kazom looks like he’s wearing a breechcloth.
I was thinking “apron”, myself. Well, he DOES cook… and Tarzan, he’s not.
I keep getting the feeling that Melvin is about ready to cast magic again.
I wonder if witch spells affect genies? Kazom, you better apologize, fast.
The dangerous part (at least for now) is that Melvin’s conscious control of magic is less than stellar…remember the “protection” spell? It’s a bit reminiscent of Presto and his magic hat from the old ’80s D&D cartoon. So what have here is a sorcerer (he’s casting magic instinctively without book learning, that’s putting him in the sorcerer file to me) who’s subconsciously casting spells, but can’t actively control one. That’s going to cause a LOT of issues and chaos, and trying to fix it is only going to make it worse. This is going to make Jeannie’s visit look like a calm, normal day.
Hm. If you’re right… this should be fun to watch!
Oh, I’ve no doubt that Melvin can eventually learn to control the magic consciously. The problem is that takes *time* and *effort*…two things the universe (or Bach-mann) doesn’t seem to be allowing him. What with all the distractions and factions already moving.
Especially since Kazom seems to not be paying attention to what he himself just said, unless he’s purposely trying to piss off Melvin. I don’t know what his plan is, though, seeing as even as an ancient genie, I doubt he’d call someone fearsome unless even he was wary of their power.
I thought he just used up one of his 3 wishes with Kozom. That the 3 wishes are special and not as restricted as what the genie can do on his own (in other words, he could have wished Clarance back to being male all the way right away).
