BJ, or Boyd Johnson, thinks himself the ladies man. He couldn't be more wrong, but that doesn't stop him from trying to woo the fairer sex when he can.
In this case, it is Daemons. We are going full Roman in the terminology here:
“The Daemon, which is derived from the term Daimon (Ancient Greek: δαίμων (“god”, “godlike”, “power”, “fate”)), was a generic term for minor gods or spirits. They were not considered good or evil as a whole, but rather, they had the same moral capacity as humans to be either good, evil, or morally ambiguous.”
What is the difference between a demon and a daemon?
Difference between Daemon and Demon exist in the meanings of the two words. Therefore, one can say Daemon and Demon are two words that have to be understood with difference. Daemon refers to benevolent and noble spirits in Greek mythology. On the other hand, demon refers to an evil creature.
It about six or seven years! When Jean became Jeanie he was 23 years old and it been about one year since that happened, so that would make Jeanie 24 old and there either 17 or 18 when there teen self went to the School Prom so that would be 6 or 7 years into the past.
Interesting… but I don’t think the question should be how long Neil and Jeanie went to prom (unless there’s something else about to happen, time-wise), but how old is Tiffany NOW?
Jeanie stated that she was 23 years old at the time she met Melvin in IDOAJB #94. At that time Melvin and the Scooby-Gang appeared to be freshmen in middle school (although I know of no middle school that would allow the girls to dress as depicted). As such, that would make them 11 or 12 at that time. Kazom even stated in IDOAJB #145 that Jeanie’s temporary body was pre-teen, confirming the age. Clarence became Red/Tiffany at about the same time and would be the same age. Melvin just stated that the Quat Ezuma disappeared seven years ago (which was within a year of Clarence’s transformation). That should make Tiffany about 19 or 20 (11 or 12, plus 1 plus 7).
We know Melvin is obsessed with undoing the magic, but wouldn’t Tiffany be fully acclimated to being a woman by this time? Does she really want to be changed back?
Red’s dad loved using his connections for Red, but he wanted to have his son back to normal, and Red agreed. The only thing that stood in the way, was Red’s mom.
Actually, when Jeanie met Melvin, Melvin was 15 year old at the time and in the 9th grade. With both JJ and BJ there at the same time, we must be back to the future in the Melvin Chronicle time frame and when they are 16 years old and in the 10th grade. When Jeanie met Melvin JJ was 12 year old and in 6h grade and in grade school, the next year she was in 7th grade and 13 years old, that when we met her and find out that BJ has a sister.
@Larry: Can you cite the reference for this statement… Melvin was 15 year old at the time and in the 9th grade? It contradicts the information Kazom provided.
In the comment section of Red Dawn part 1, Luna stated that all three of the boy were 15 years old and in high school about the time that Jeanie was there. Luna at the time was the original proof reader for The Bach-Mann who was the original author of the Melvin Chronicle for the CD Rudd spin off from the Jeanie Bottle. That was in response to one person that thought that Melvin and crew were younger, because, they thought they looked too you to be in high school. Unless the current author want to make Melvin and crew younger, then 15 years is the age that they were when Jeanie meet them.
Double huh… Jeanie and Neil jump back about 7 years to grab a burger and, oh, by the way, party with their teen selves with an evil looking shadow looking over Jeanie’s shoulder as she spiked the punch. Melvin’s dad disappeared 7 years ago along with the Quat Ezuma. Connection? Na, just coincidence.
Gibbs’ rule #39: There is no such thing as coincidence.
I am going with it being a coincidence too. Although there both happen about 7 years ago, they are in different places in the United State separated by over a 1000 miles from each other. One in Cincinnati, Ohio and the other one is in the Los Angeles area in California. Melvin live in California. The possibility of them being connected isn’t totally impossible, but, it is highly unlikely for those event to have any connection to each other.
*Sigh* I’m actually going to have to go with Larry; unless something happens that sends our causality violators to Bill & Ted country (or somewhere in that county), or for the Azoth to be brought to Sen Sen Ante, the distance is too much for connection.
The Quat Euzma was what Jeanie hit the Vig Blue with. Kazom said it was pure chaotic magic and could not be controlled. Only a non magic person could use it. It allowed Jeanie to swap bodies with Big Blue. Will Melvin swap bodies with Red? panel 558
There was also minor explosion when Jeanie used it on the Blue Djinn too, so maybe BJ had the right Idea, Melvin going to cause another explosion and or change bodies with Red of Tiffany too, now that would be a hoot!
In episode 562 and 563, you can see the explosion when Quat Euzma was used by Jeanie when she used it on the Blue Djinn and took her body back from him. You see both the explosion and the after effects too.
Well nice to see Malvin again.
Nice to see Melvin again … and nice to see Melvin making mess with magic again.
This is one of the comics where the character really needs the plot armor from fact the comics is named after him.
Its back! Great to see a new page and looking forward to the Summoned Explosions! The best of both worlds.
in panel 1, it’s Demons, not Daemons.

oh, I goofed up then. Sorry about that.
Apparently magic is programmed in Unix.

The source, eh? Well, may the source be with you
Luke trust the farce!
May the 4th be with you!
Wait, it’s December…
BJ has witnessed enough of Melvin’s schemes to know how this will play out
Yes, BJ has seen Melvin blow up enough stuff when he has used his magic in the past. That why he said that he is more likely to blow it up.
Stolen seven years ago? I wonder how long it has been since Jean and Neil took their future selves to the prom…

@Larry: Found it, thanks.
Huh, I hadn’t considered that connection. I assumed it was when Melvin’s dad disappeared.

Probably true, I forgot about the distance.
Well the Cave of Wonders couldn’t be that bad maybe there is ice cream.
You haven’t read this comic much, or seen Aladdin, have you?
No I have trying to be optimistic not everything will go wrong.
Ice cream sounds great to me!
100 says he actually succeeds.
I might be metagaming the system a bit.

Wouldn’t that be a hoot. Kazom’s actual quote is “non-magic being” so I wonder, does that include or exclude wizards?

A pumpkin bread fruitcake, that it will turn someone into a woman.
Hmm, I wonder what is the significance of Melvin’s right eye (and only his right eye) glowing like that.
I *think* that’s something we’ve seen before… somewhere.
We’ve seen the glow before, but I think that this is the first time that it has been only his right eye and not both eyes.
